Is Your Family My Ideal Client?
You are probably asking yourself, what is an “Ideal Client”? That’s a great question. An Ideal Client is a client that really loves the product or service you provide. They are loyal to your company and will likely recommend you to their friends and family.
While all of the above is true, I love clients who are loyal and recommend me to their friends and family. I think there is more to being an ideal client.
Traditional vs. Non-Traditional
My ideal client is a family that is looking for more non-traditional family photos. Don’t get me wrong, I do make sure we get photos of all the family members looking at the camera and smiling. However, most of our session time will be spent interacting with each other and having fun! Do you love to:
- Spend quality time with your kids
- Tell silly stories to get them to laugh
- Tickle them till they squirm
- Sing silly songs off key
- Show off your goofiest dance moves
If you love one more more of these things, then we should get along just fine. As you can see, this family knows just what to do during one of my sessions. As a matter of fact, this family has been in front of my camera many times.
Let Me Lead
Gosh, I hope that doesn’t sound harsh. What I mean by that is I want to be the one giving instructions during our session. Trust me, I know how stressful getting family photos can be. You are spending a decent amount of money for a finite amount of time to get beautiful photos of your family. Many times this stress causes parents to try to make sure their kids are sitting perfectly still and smiling their perfect smiles. Unfortunately, when parents get stressed, kids get stressed.
I don’t want anyone stressed at our session. All I ask is that you let me be in charge. I will make sure we get the shots you are going to love. The more fun you are having, the more fun the kids will have. If they want to get up and walk for a bit, we can do that. If they want to play a game, we can do that. Once they get comfortable and realize this is fun, they will be much more accepting of the gentle guiding/posing I will do. Happy kids are much more agreeable. So, once the session starts, I am in charge and your job is to just love on your kids and have a great time making memories.
