In Home Newborn Session | St. Louis Newborn Photographer

In home newborn sessions are the sweetest types of sessions that I get to do. This particular session was the perfect combo, beautiful fall day and sweet, squishy newborn.

My newest client was the newest addition to an amazing family that I had photographed previously. They live just minutes from me in the most quaint neighborhood.

When you walk into the home of a family with a newborn, you never know what to expect. If the baby didn’t sleep well, nerves may be on edge. If siblings are having a rough time adjusting to the new baby, there may be meltdowns. This family was so calm and peaceful, I was amazed. I don’t think I was ever that calm just days after having a baby!

We started the session with shots of the whole family. Big sister had to go to school at some point in the morning so we took those photos first.

Once we were finished with our initial new family photos, we had to make sure we got some shots of the girls together. Big sister was so excited to get to hold baby sister and you can see how much she loves her!

After the sibling shots, it was time for some shots of the ladies of this beautiful family. There is almost nothing better than photos of a mom and her children. So many people love this little lady!

And don’t forget the sweetness of a daddy and his girls! Can you see how his oldest looks at him?

With big sister off to school, we focused on getting shots of mom and dad with baby girl. Having a newborn is so hard but it is such a wonderful time in the life of a family. I am so glad it’s my job to capture these beautiful moments.
